In 2024–2025, the New Aviation Museum project gathered feedback through surveys and workshops to support planning. We reached out to different visitor groups, including meeting clients, collection users, locals, and general museum-goers—both online and in person at libraries, shopping centers, and Helsinki Airport.
Meeting clients wanted flexible, modern spaces with good tech, catering, and aviation-themed extras. Collection users hoped for better access to digital and physical archives. Visitors emphasized interactive, family-friendly exhibitions, accessibility, and included experiences like simulators.
Over half of outreach respondents had not yet visited the museum. Key reasons to visit the future museum included curiosity, learning about aviation, and activities for children.
Thanks to all participants — your input is helping shape the New Aviation Museum, opening in 2027!
