Safety and accessibility

Accessibility and disability card
The current museum facilities are not fully accessible, but the New Aviation Museum will naturally be designed with accessibility in mind. There are parking spaces for those with mobility impairments in front of the museum. There is an accessible restroom in the entrance hall. The museum is mostly accessible, but some exhibition areas have stairs. The doors between exhibition halls do not open automatically, so please ask for assistance from customer service if needed. The assistant or support person of a disability card holder always gets free admission to the museum.

Service dogs are also welcome in the museum!
Service dogs are welcome in the museum.
Are you concerned about accessibility or do you want to ask about our services? We are a Disability Card destination and aim to serve our customers who need special support in the best possible way. We strive to consider the needs of our customers as well as possible – please ask customer service for more information.

Principles of a safer space
Finnish Aviation Museum is a safer space. Our goal for a safer space is that no one should have to face any form of discrimination, bullying, harassment, or violence at the Aviation Museum. We want everyone to be able to be themselves safely at the Aviation Museum. If you encounter bullying or harassment at the Aviation Museum, please inform the staff.
Good Travel Seal
Finnish Aviation Museum Awarded the Good Travel Seal
In spring 2024, the Finnish Aviation Museum began its journey toward a sustainability certificate. We chose the Good Travel Seal by Green Destinations, a certification that values not only environmental efforts but also social responsibility.
Work began in early 2024, involving multiple museum teams and the New Aviation Museum project to ensure sustainability is part of our future vision. The process helped highlight both our existing responsible practices and areas for improvement.
This certificate marks an important milestone — not the end — on our path toward greater sustainability.
