The de Havilland D.H.115 Vampire Mk.55 trainer fighter’s ejection seat survival kit. The contents were intended to help the pilot survive for four days in a Finnish pine forest.

Our museum’s de Havilland 100 Vampire Mk.52 VA-2 and de Havilland D.H.115 Vampire Mk.55 VT-4 collided during a formation flying exercise on July 29, 1958. Due to this collision, the first ejection seat jump in the history of the Finnish Air Force was carried out from the VT-4 aircraft.

Note! The object in the museum’s collection does not physically transfer to the adopter, but by adopting the item, you support the museum and receive a good feeling as well as a certificate of adoption. ‘Adopt an object’ is a form of fundraising familiar from international museums.
