Finn Hostess’ Flight Attendant Uniform

Finnair’s Finn Hostess uniform. The long cotton dress is called Orvokkimeri (“the sea of violets”). The dress features stylized violets in lighter blue, turquoise, and white on a dark blue background. The dress has a waist cut, a zipper at the back, and a flared hem. The Finn Hostess uniform was worn with a silver piece of jewelry designed by Björn Weckström from 1969 to 1984. The dress was designed by fashion designer Marjatta Heikkilä from the fashion house Kaisu Heikkilä Oy.
