The Finnish Museums Association’s Politician Internship campaign has generated exceptional interest, and the Finnish Aviation Museum is preparing for a lively internship week from August 18 to 22, 2025. During the week, no fewer than ten decision-makers will visit the museum to gain hands-on insight into the work carried out in the museum sector.
During the internship, decision-makers will explore the work of expert groups contributing to the New Aviation Museum project.
The core idea of the Finnish Museums Association’s Politician Internship campaign is to invite politicians to experience museum work in a hands-on and practical way. The themed week is now being organized for the tenth time. In recent years, around 80 decision-makers and dozens of museums across Finland have participated.
“The Finnish Aviation Museum is proud to be part of this important campaign, which brings cultural heritage and decision-making closer together,” says Museum Director Pia Illikainen.
