In Ilkka Vainikka’s pencil print, the DC-3 OH-LCH is positioned in front of Malmi Airport (EFHF). The aircraft, also known as the Hotel, is currently the only airworthy DC-3 aircraft in Finland. The aircraft is owned by Airveteran Oy, and operated and maintained by the DC Association.
The DC-3 OH-LCH was completed in the United States in 1942 and has served for decades, among other things, in troop transport missions in Europe, on scheduled and cargo flights with Aero Oy, and with the Finnish Air Force under the registration number DO-11.
