Aviation art print: Bremer’s Junkers A50 Junior in Cairo 1932

Aviation artist Kari Vertanen’s magnificent print “Bremer’s Junkers A50 Junior in Cairo 1932”!

In 1932, Wäinö Bremer flew his famous flight from Helsinki to Cape Town and back in his two-seater Junkers A50 Junior OH-ABB. The flight took 9 weeks and covered 31,050 km. In the painting, Kari Vertanen has depicted Bremer’s departure from Cairo.

Bremer’s plane was on display in the lobby of Helsinki-Vantaa Airport for 40 years. Today, it can be seen in the exhibition hall of the Finnish Aviation Museum in Vantaa.
